There you sit in your favourite armchair with a good chardonnay in the rounded glass, the children’s laughter for now quite pleasant, the wife rather happy with the flowers that you at last brought home and the evening paper open at the property section on your lap.
Your tired eyes lazing over the apartments and houses for sale, when, suddenly, your quiet hour is completely spoiled. There, on the right hand page, a cruel estate agent advertises BEAUTIFUL SEA VIEW PLOTS FOR SALE. With a photo that immediately takes you back a long, long time to a cosmic moment when the sea and the sounds and the smell of the ocean monopolized your tender heart for what felt like forever and ever.
At that moment, with the chardonnay shaking in your trembling hand, you realize with total clarity: I NEED TO HAVE A HOME AT THE BEACH WHERE I CAN GROW OLD WATCHING THE OCEAN, and then the realization with even more dread: I CANNOT AFFORD A HOLIDAY HOME ON MY SALARY, NOT IN A THOUSAND YEARS...
The very next moment your wife comes to your side, wiping the tears from your sad eyes and with the ancient practical logic of the female species, she offers a fantastic solution: Why don't we buy a coastal plot together with the rest of the family, build in time, and allocate holiday time accordingly between all the partners?
There and then, it is decided - all the cell phones are immediately confiscated right through your excited house in order to implement a telephonic family conference.
